Now I’m not really a shopper but I decided to treat myself as I had been working really hard and decided to shout myself something for my birthday.
We have a great shop in town called Dianne Boutique where everything is soooo expensive but so lovely.
I decided I deserved it and went in to have a look.
There were racks of the latest fashion I didn’t know where to start so I went over to the lady who I happened to know quite well and showed her a couple of tops I quite liked.
She screwed up her nose and went back to the racks and looked through finally pulling out a couple of which I would never have picked .She gently ushered me off to the changing rooms with me feeling quite uncomfortable with her choice. Never the less I took her word. When I came out “ see “ she said the neckline suits you much better and the length is also very flattering.
It was then that I realised she was in fact true to her word and not just there to sell me something.
The same can be said in any business
The only reason why someone will buy something off you is if they know, like and trust you.
This process doesn’t just happen offline it is universal our sales funnels are designed in such a way to lead our customers through to know like and trust us.
If you think about the process and break it down the customer has the desire to buy but needed more information to make an informed decision.
The sales person built up a rapport with me and educated me honestly. There was no pushing or convincing me into buying something she knew wouldn’t suit me.
So consequently I am happy to go back and purchase again.
Think about these principals and apply them to your own business.
